Direct Primary Care

What is Direct Primary Care?

It is no secret that the US healthcare system is broken.

Costs are skyrocketing, and it often feels like we’re on an assembly line of medicine, with hurried visits and burned out healthcare workers.  Our current system of medicine, despite good intentions, can be complicated, dehumanizing and overwhelming.

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a new model of healthcare that is refreshingly simple and straightforward.  Patients pay a flat monthly membership fee for high quality, comprehensive care.  There is no insurance, no big corporation, no middleman – just you and your physician.  You are able to access your own doctor, who knows and cares about you, by phone, text, email, and telemedicine.

You can schedule same day or next day appointments.  Because you don’t pay extra for each visit, it’s easier to afford preventive care and see your doctor before questions or health concerns pile up.  Common in-office procedures are included in the membership (such as strep tests, mole removal and joint injections).  Labs, medications, and imaging are offered at a discounted cash price.  It’s a no-hassle way to obtain great primary care with a doctor who is able to focus solely on you and your health.
